Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the first ever solar-powered petty shop on wheels for self-employment of the differently-abled.

This green energy vehicle called ‘Sunny Splendour,’ is introduced by APIMS India Private Limited in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister looked excited when taken on a ride at the inaugural venue (A convention centre). The solar based vehicle is designed and manufactured by Ostrich Mobility, a Bengaluru-based company and it can help differently-abled people to eke out a livelihood.

Even normal people can use this as a mobile shop to run small businesses at any location for selling fruits, vegetables, snack items etc.

The battery that comes along with the vehicle makes it run 30 km per charge. A solar panel fixed on top of the vehicle, when exposed to sunlight for 8 hours, increases the drive range to 50 km. The vehicle direction can be changed easily without any physical stress with the help of a joystick.

This sunny splendour has sufficient space to keep many items that can be carried and sold in the market place.
